I just set it aside and bought another one. Haven't really looked at it yet. If that's all it is, maybe I should just take the other ladder back. Kind of scary that a tiny rivet is all that's holding me though.
My one year old picked one up by the tail yesterday, and he didn't get stung. Didn't even know it was possible to pick one up that way..... Momma freaked out and beat the crap out of it with a hot wheels car.
That's when you know a kid's going to eclipse you in the man card department before they're old enough to enter school.
ETA/PS: It was as full of life as one could be, squirming everywhere. I'm still a bit shocked. Those things feel like a nail 1" into your foot hooked to a 9v battery, a unique pain that makes you vow to murder everyone of them inside or out.
Ok......
Well hope the ho's are staying cool!
Dude, you know better.

Lol
now I will have that stuck in my head all night
I've had the Andy Griffith tune pop into my head for the last two weeks. I don't remember one sticking for that long really....and it sneaks up on you too. Bastard.
Well I stopped at cabelas yesterday. Only revolvers 22s and $900 1911 in the pistol case.
There is definitely some new shooters in our ranks. Funny how it went from you don?t need a gun the police will protect you to how many glocks can I get.

The rivet just holds the black plastic on. There are two small welds underneath. I've had this ladder for years and probably been up and down it 1,000 times. Got it free from a guy who likely used it even more for years before.
I took down my Rebel flag (which you can't buy on EBAY any more) and peeled
the NRA sticker off my front window.
I disconnected my home alarm system and quit the candy-ass Neighborhood
Watch.
I bought two Pakistani flags and put one at each corner of the front yard.
Then I purchased the black flag of ISIS (which you CAN buy on EBAY) and ran
it up the flag pole.
Now the local police, sheriff, FBI, CIA, NSA, Homeland Security, Secret
Service and other agencies are all watching my house 24/7. I've NEVER felt
safer and I'm saving $69.95 a month that ADT used to charge me.
Plus, I bought burkas for my wife and I, to wear when we shop or travel.
Everyone moves out of the way and security can't pat us down. If they say
I'm a male wearing a burka, I just say I'm feeling like a woman today.
Hot Damn - Safe at last - Ain't America great or what?
[ROFL1] nice
Speaking of "ok Karen"
During my Jr High school,I had Male friend name Karen.
Normally, he would have been made fun of all school year, but it was Glendale CA. He was safe.
"Dude...Karen."
Quote:
In Armenia Karen (Armenian: Կարեն, IPA: [kɑˈɾɛn]) is a common masculine given name.
The masculine given name Karen derived from the Parthian name of House of Karen (or Caren), one of the seven aristocratic families of ancient Iran. Several Iranian princes named Karen are known before and after the Islamic period. The Karen house ruled the Tabaristan region of Iran, which approximately corresponds to the current provinces of Gilan state and Mazandaran.
The masculine given name Garen is a Western Armenian form of the Eastern Armenian Karen.

I want to leave a book review on an Allen Drury work of fiction. Do you think "unnecessarily wordy as shit," is too succinct?
Well chit on 2020 again. Kid parked his car on a hill by a trailer park. (Stop me if you heard this one before) Some dumbass rolled back into his car and put his tow hitch through the grill, smashed the impact bar and dented and hooked the radiator. Of course he left without a note. Need new bumper cover, impact bar, radiator, grille and trim, AC tubing and who knows what else.
Part of me hopes the insurance just totals it, but of course they would low ball the crap out of an otherwise perfect car.
Now I am down a car again.
Thanks 2020.

So far my estimated rough parts list:
Front crash bar $300 used
Bumper cover $200+ used or unpainted
Paint matching $300 min
Radiator $50 used, probably $200 new
AC condenser probably same as radiator
Radiator frame might be busted too. $200 I think
Bits and pieces estimate $200
It?s probably $1k worth of parts, not including my time plus paint and AC recharge. Get this done at body shop might be $3-4K. Insurance might total it. My deductible is $500 but I am sure they will jack rates for reasons.
Shame because this car has the oil burn fixed $4+k at dealer by previous owner, and 15k miles on new clutch and flywheel about $800+ in parts and I did the labor. Unfortunately this model year is dropping in value due to oil consumption and most used prices do not include a fixed engine.
Finding the parts is hard as most local. junkyard cars have a front end crash.
I need to get a spare car at this rate.
Frustration level at 11.

I should get a beater that's really good on gas mileage...something I can drive on our shitty dirt road and not care about. One more thing to license and insure, right?
Sure, but I've never owned a car that I don't give a shit about, it might be kinda fun....lol.
I do understand the attraction to having a 'beater' that you didn't have to worry about.
Right ! I'm going to do a little research and and find the best "riding" models and see if I can find one at "Bob's Used car lot" for a couple grand. Need some test drives though, buyer beware and all that.
:)
If you've never seen a baby lizard (about an inch total) running around in your garage at 100 mph, it's pretty funny.
You go from "wtf was that?"...to "I can catch it".
I did get him back outside without hurting him, couldn't believe how quick he was though.
The spouse found about 1/2 doz of them running around the casita.
Certain times of the day, by the reloading room & bunkhouse. You hear what sound like someone tearing short strips of paper. If you look up you'll see a few of them chasing each other around the cross braces of the overhang.
Hopefully for as many as we have, they'll keep the ants in check .
The wildlife down here is a trip sometimes. Saw a momma Gamble Quail followed by like 10 or so little-uns the other day, it was cool.
I'm glad the dog was kenneled for the night when I saw the lizard, or she would have knocked a bunch of shit around trying to get it.
I'm not sure whether to get another car, or get a tractor instead and just keep leveling that fukin road. It was different when I had rental cars coming down here and buying the property, now I'm beating my own shit up.....grrrrrrr.
The mule deer breezed through again today, and there's a bunny convention behind the barn at least once a week. It's Jacks and Cottons so I don't know if it's turf negotiations or what the hell that is.
Fucking primers are becoming the bain of my existence
Finding any of that stuff anymore is pita. If it ever calms down, you'd better get as much of everything as you can.
Shit I'm trying. Need about 6k more SPP and 10k LPP. Just don't want to spend $.10 ea doing it. Haven't been able to stock up before now do to lack of funding.
Wife wants a 1911 for her anniversary gift and thats well and fine but damn it only habe 1k LPP and no projectiles yet.
Focus on the 1911 right now, and help Mama be Happy.
:)
