Meh. Been through many hurricanes?
So, you know you?re staying at a pretty swanky hotel when you check in and they hand you these.

Reminds me of one of my favorite motels.

Snazzy
Cash only motels are worse.
Those motels usually do not have vacancy.... yikes.
best part is just go make a copy and you have a free room whenever your in town [ROFL1]
They must lose a lot of shower curtains.
Hoverines!
I got the krg bravo in for the 22 rig today.....oh yea. Now if they'd hurry up and get my damn rail and scope in I'll be a happy camper. Oh and Buds needs to get off their ass and get.me y mags and ammo in too.
Still have to give you a call one of these days Mazin.
Happy Saturday and stuff.
The ideas I had about moving have not disappointed. It's been 20 years since the last one, and I still don't like doing it. Wife is doing a great job getting everything organized for what we want to take and donate/get rid of. Fortunately, we're getting rid of about twice as much stuff as we're planning on taking with. I've been on point for home repairs and am feeling it this morning. I've been doing everything from digging in the ground to working overhead. I've got another ceiling light fixture to replace this weekend, among other things.
I'm really disappointed that I don't have any Irish cream for my coffee to start the day.
Gman are you escaping Kolorado?
He's moving to Tacoma or thereabouts.
roasting chili's and some bacon on the grill, for later.
Kazooland B&B is expecting guest, today.
Doggo keeps running in the rocks scape by the fence where the larger rocks are. Second time he twisted his front leg.
So I am putting in some 16? pavers where he runs and hopefully that prevents the twisting of his front leg. 5 down 20 to go. Might get done tonight at 6. Groan.
From one blue state to another (at least they don't have magazine restrictions in Washington...yet). Colorado going down the tubes has made some other locations not look quite so bad. My folks and my sister and her family now live in WA. Wife's family left Colorado already. Might as well head to the PNW and get the band back together. My folks are 83 and need a bit more help and being a 2 hour drive away is more appealing than 2 days drive away.
Got a contract IT job in Tacoma through April. Probably won't live in Tacoma. Been looking at Gig Harbor and other areas in Pierce County with .5 acre or more.
Ahh damn it I remeber now. Dude hate seeing you go but you're a good man for doing it. Hope the new job is better!
Thank you, sir.
Listed my PS4 (w/ kids' approval) on marketplace to fund PS5. She wants a PS5 for her birthday (this month), and PS5 comes out around Mid November ?
Good luck with your venture, Gman....I hope everything works out well for you and yours.
I don't regret leaving CO, but I do miss the payroll I was making there.
Seeing as how my last 2 contract gigs here never went anywhere (Thanks Covid-19 economy), I'm not having that problem. When you're contracted at $100/hr, and your time multiplier is 0, we all know the result. I'm not getting near that for this contract, but I'll be glad to be getting a paycheck again. This job gets us there. If it's a good fit and I'm happy there, making a bit less won't break my heart. If it's not a good fit, then it's easier to find another job when I'm local, and it always seems easier to get a new job when you have a job. Remote work is also more of a possibility since the plandemic.
A big concern is getting my wife to an elevation that should alleviate much of her breathing issues. Once the fires are out, the air quality there is also significantly better than here on the front range. Being closer to my folks and getting to spend more time with them before they're gone is the other priority. Since I won't be spending all of my vacation time to go visit my folks, we'll also have the opportunity to visit my father in law more often.
Many damn bitching.
Cleared out today. This morning, the air quality index in Sequim, WA was 14, which is very good. Here, it was 117, which was unhealthy.
The fires will end, but the front range will always be the front range. Air quality here has been getting worse as more and more people come here.
My first wife had breathing issues and died here in CO. I'm trying to give my 2nd the best opportunity possible.
Did you guys know that there are 37 known species of fox?
I heard about that on Fox News.
Eastern part of King county reminds me of climate similar to Aspen/Crested Butte/Pitkin area during summer and late summer.
It is cheaper alternative to a cooler CO mountain area.
Oh yeah, the Aspen and some area of Washington State is known for top quality https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BrackenBracken. It is invasive species and both state will ticket people who take em. They should reward people for taking it.
Quote:
Evolutionarily, bracken may be considered one of the most successful ferns. It is considered highly invasive, and can survive in acid soils.[2]

C'mon. That's not what the fox says.

Well played, sir. Well played.
