Been wide awake since 0300. Annoying.
Oh I can understand last night was the firdt night in awhile I've actually slept.
I had to wake up at 6am to go to toyota dealership for. Service (2 yrs included free).
Toyota service is much better than horrible shitty "Mercedes Benz of Westminster" near 104th and hwy 36 (Colorado).
Toyota (and Hyundai) have a great customer's service. More generic corporate style friendliness, but they get stuff done. My taco had premature seat wear and they took care of it. I don't think some manufacturers would do that for a customer.
2 year free maintenance for toyota isn't the best, but sure beats some other manufacturer. I think Hyundai has 3y/36k and Honda has 1y.
Mercedes benz westminster might be an isolated incident. I addressed a crappy services documented on text message from service adviser , and I still have not yet to get a response from management.
Good to know and thank you for the information!
Definitely can be dealer depended on what kind of experience you can have unfortunately but when there's multiple options that can help. Compared to one of the cars we have currently where the service experience has been pretty disappointing for the brand...
Polynesian Center is closed.
Steak Shack on the Waikiki beach is amazing
The food truck scene out by Haleiwa is amazing...Aji Limo Tuna food truck is best
Kono's has great breakfast burritos
Not so for the Toyota dealer by me (Larry H Miller on Motor Way in the Springs)...
Took my truck there twice, both times sucked ass. When I got the truck, I had all fluids front to rear changed out. After a couple weeks, I noticed I would get weird noises from the rear when making turns. After a couple months, I finally figured it out. On the rear differential the fill bolt is right behind this gigantic sticker that says "USE LIMITED SLIP DIFFERENTIAL OIL ONLY" and surely, their service guy wouldn't be so damn stupid as to use normal gear oil right? I mean, the entire time he'd be filling it, there's this sticker the size of his forehead telling him what to do you know? Besides, that's what the truck was designed for. Sure enough, that's what they did.
The second time, the guy who works in the office but is the liason between the wrenches in the bay and the customer decided it was a good time to leave for two hours. That I'm sitting in the waiting room waiting for my truck to be done. Issue was, it was done about 5 minutes after he left and my keys/service order were sitting on his desk, and he never got anyone to cover for him.
Two for two failures. Screw them....
Those 2 incidents are not acceptable by toyota or any manufacturer franchisees.
1st incident is definitely a toyota usa corporate call for many customers. 2nd one should have been a quick apology and voucher for free oil change (If i was a general manager).
Toyota and other big manufacturer appointment is about month out. I had to call late Oct to make yesterday's appt.
I hope all the ho's had a great Holiday, had a nice one here with good folks.
;)
You're damn right it's not acceptable, the key is, they've lost me as a service dept customer for life, so going any further with them is a complete waste of my time. The thing is, they're kind of known down here for being a crappy service dept, several folks I know with Toyotas won't go there because of years of issues like this. Most of the routine stuff I do myself anyway, I figured I would just give them a shot and they blew it. More advanced stuff, I have a choice right near me between "Courtesy Automotive" and "Asshole's Garage." Yes, that's their name (https://www.yelp.com/biz/assholes-ga...rado-springs-2) and they both do great work.
Sorry Ray, I didn't post heads up Wed that I had to work today.
At least its short work day.
No worries. After a long Thanksgiving day yesterday I think I?m just going to rest today anyways.
Band of Brothers has been on History channel all day the wife says.
Ray just hold it in man trust me. People can't take the truth anymore and it gets pretty lonely around the holidays.
Aint nothing wrong with wishing family and friends a good holiday. I think holidays mostly suck and interfere with life, but there is some good that can come from them if you can still hold the idea in your heart and mind that it means something to the folks around you.
Haha, Vincent Price in a western movie.
Guy was a great actor whatever the genre.
Cyber monday and I did not buy anything.
(Nor i bought anything on Friday).
I thought of a few things today that I hadn't thought of over the weekend while cruising AMZ for CM deals and the two items I wanted to pick up were 50% off for BF (less than $25 items) up through the 28th according to camelcamelcamel. Arrgghh.
Well,I am going to a "gun store" to sell/transfer my glock tomorrow. I might buy ssomething if there is an amazing deal I cannot pass.
Oooo... think I just saw a little 'fireball' over Denver. Nifty!
Not like Japan recently but more than a 'falling star'
Thanks CN!
Had a pack of coyotes take down and take apart a deer in the neighbors yard. Chunks everywhere.
Ewwwww
You aren't supposed to touch the turtles. Good thing it was gentle and not harassing.
You're going to give them all the rona now.
I'm going to touch the inside of several tiny little airplane bottles of free JD on the flights tomorrow.
