Definitely watch it and then start watching all 5 seasons of Southland.

Snitch
I give it a 3 out of 5. Some of the dramatic acting was bleh, but overall, good enough for 5 or 6 bucks.
Now I'm on to HEAT....oh yeah.
Heat... shootout scene post bank job... on surround sound cranked = epic.
Saw the new Superman movie the other night ... actually quite good (but then again it was written by Christopher Nolan and directed by Zach Snyder).
Superman's an actual honest to God American hero in this one, not a whiny metrosexual like the horrid Superman Returns.
"Evidence"
Sucked. The $7 would have been better spent on PBR.
Just watched a good little Indy movie called The History of Future Folk.
Highly recommended (a better than average Indy movie)

(yes, Dee Snyder is in it)
I finally watch stand up guys with Pacino & walken... great film.
Watched the Call tonight with Halle Berry. Yes, she's still hot. Good movie. Creepy.
Watched White House Down and Olympus Has Fallen today. Olympus wasn't bad. White House was a disappointment.
Watched "Killing Season" today with Robert DeNiro and John Travolta. Interesting movie-Spoiler: you have to listen to John with a Serbian accent for 1 1/2 hours !
Anyone see "The Host" on PPV? I'm in the mood for an alien invasion movie.
Just watched Europa Report on iTunes. I think it's coming out to theaters shortly but you can watch it now if you want. Thought it was pretty good/realistic.

Waterworld for the 4th time... great sailing footage... but a Costner flop.
I just saw RED2 with the wife on Friday, had me laughing out loud. John Malcovich is awesome!
You guys hear there is going to be another Taken movie made? In this one, a gender confused young man gets nabbed some where in Thailand just before his gender reassignment surgery. The bad guys don't realize their error until he goes up for auction with all the other kidnapped young girls. It's going to be called "MissTaken."
Saw The Conjuring yesterday. If you couldn't guess from my avatar, I love horror movies, and I'm always looking out for a movie that can spook out my jaded self as if I were a kid again but this movie was just OK. Nothing bad about it per se, but it's not a two-timer, ie, I can't see myself interested in seeing it a second time. Insidious, which Patrick Wilson was also in, was much better.
Anyone seen Pacific Rim yet?
"The Colony"
Bad. Skip it. Seemed like a good concept, but failed miserably IMHO.
Spoiler:
A colony of ice age survivors go to see what's up with another colony of survivors who haven't responded to radio calls. Dudes go to the other colony to find it overrun with cannibals. Cannibals follow dudes back to their colony, big fight ensues, hero wins. Yawn.
Watched "Oblivion" yesterday. Confusing to say the least.
You want bad? Can't recall whether Netflix or Redbox, but avoid "The Bay" at all cost (unless you're actually looking for total crap).

Man, is there anything good on DirecTV PPV? It all looks like garbage to me.
We're in that slump right now- it happens every year- all the good holiday season movies already came out on DVD (and PPV), and all the big summer "blockbusters" aren't out on DVD yet. We're in that purgatory of movie releases where there is nothing but garbage for a few months. Your best bet is to find a good TV show and start watching it on demand/Netflix, or just watch some classics... the other day I watched Beatlejuice for the first time in probably 15 years- caught a lot more that I missed the first few times watching it when I was younger. "Hey hey! Where ya goin'? Nice f*ckin' model! *honk honk*"
Watched "After Earth" today. Is it just me or are the so called blockbusters this summer just duds ?
Holy run of shitty movies Batman. I recommend an immediate return to the classics until something decent comes out. Start with:
Airplane
Caddyshack
Stripes
Better Off Dead
Strange Brew
Concur... and then some.
A river runs through it
The Natural
Spaceballs
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
All James Bond Films made before 1987
Shooter
Star Wars Episodes 4,5,6 only
Indian Jones films (first 3 only)
All things Tarantino
Trainspotting
Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels
Snatch
The first Boondock Saints
Saw Gangster Squad on Redbox tonight. Epic! Great movie!
Bear
Machine Gun Preacher
Saw Red 2. It was awesome. Better than the first which was also awesome.
