Supposed to be 106 today with a forecast for 115 tomorrow. I never expected this with a move to the Pacific Northwest.
Sure am glad I ignored those folks that say "You really don't need air conditioning up here."
Turns out that the Denver Zoo would be interested in re-homing Stampy if I was ever unable to care for her. Nice to know as I was rather concerned for her well-being when her tank was failing & had a contact reach out to them jic. Glad I was able to keep her though.
Because nothing smells worse than oven roasted hippy.
That's some funny shit.
My wife called my mother in law to see if she is doing okay.
Portland was 115, which was 1 degrees F lower than what Las Vegas Temp was. At least Las Vegas is one of the driest cities in US.
The 2018 105F day in Denver was very hot that day. It felt like I was in Baker CA. At that time in 2018, I was in the car dealership in Glendale CO and drank 2 water and 2 can of sodas. :(
What's a Stampy?
The new buzz word for masturbating:
"Toobin"...an adolescent boy near you is doing it right now.
I was surprised to learn that Delta variant didn't mean poor "on time" history, and losing your shit during the process.
Been nuts up here but it's supposed to ease off a bit today. Other than the temps, the air quality has also been crap. Need those high and low pressure systems to move on. Let's get that coastal air flow going again.
It's been 3 years since I took booster shot. I am debating I should take it every 9 years. I fear of tetanus.
After the initial tetanus series, booster shots are recommended every 10 years. If you experience a puncture wound, it's best to get the booster shot regardless of when you had your last tetanus shot.
From mayoclinic.com
I better check my records with Kaiser, you got me thinking
I seem to get an unscheduled booster every 3-5yrs since I was in my 20's.
Bruh (Bruh as CDC, FDA, NIH, WHO, FTC who oversees business aspects of Pharmaceuticals).......
I ain't listening to you man, I ain't listening to Fauci either. Only person who I will listen to is Jeff Sessions who I BELIEVE that he is expert in 1/2 of alldeltavariants of HPV.

Got a Cortisone shot in my right knee today prep for the next treatment. Feels worlds better already. Like they pulled out the icepick. I might actually get some sleep.
Next up, 3 weekly(ish) rounds of jello shots in both starting in 3 weeks.
F'kn right knee cartilage is 80-90% gone thanks to osteo in them. Left holding at a solid 50%. Sports (when young), the Mil, and age sure have taken a toll.
Hope to get another 3 years out of it and/or not end up like GK.
I have a feeling I'm going to have to address my knees sooner than I'd like (only 37 yrs old), but spending the better part of 15 years running almost daily, is really catching up, specifically my right knee is bad. I look like an OLD man going up and down stairs. But hey, my lungs and my heart are strong, lol.
Curious why they're doing the jello type so close after a cortisone injection? Even cortisone shots should not be done, less than 3 months apart.
have either of you been measured and got orthotics? Not the Dr School or other otc stuff. If you're a veteran, the VA covers the expense. One insurance should cover them, as well. if not they run about $2-400. Well worth it.
Have you looked at the knees over toes guy on YouTube?

finding a suitable shoes (pronate, neutral, supernate, dual dense support, etc) should be first.
if that does not work, podiatrist will be next step.
That's what he did last time and the gel was good for WAY longer than he even expected. I trust this guy. Last saw him like 6 years ago.
First ortho guy, one that scope my left knee about 10 years ago did NOT do Cortisone first and the gel didn't take well or last 6 months.
Vet, but rather not go through that hell. Insurance isn't an issue for me, nurse wife works for Centura and we are blessed with unbelievable coverage and nearly zero out of pocket. My Company's insurance is a joke.
My knee was bothering me starting when I was 22.
I could still run often till around 2008.
I was not able to run up and down stairs at around 2011.
2013-2017 I could not even walk well.(gained 65lbs ish).
I could start running around 2017 to 2019 and developed some fibrosis during panamic due to no physical thearpy nor rec center diy therapy.
Put it off+ slow damage+ minor injury on top of it and it will easily lead to TKR surgery.
I think people who've met me between 13-17' can recall my condition.
I wish all of us luck with this crap....sounds like we could use trading cards.
I'll trade you for two GK's and and a Brutal for two OBCs, a CN and a Prena. What do you want for the Hurley?
Hey, you're cool, G.
Any cards you want to trade?
Fused lower spine, lower leg neuropathy from first failed fusion, bad knees, broken both ankles in the past 5 years, survived a bi-lateral PE, C5-C6 foraminal stenosis, congenital Chiari malformation Type 1, jacked up shoulders, osteoarthritis....?
Nah, I'm good.
That makes your card worth more, man.
while it sucks everyone has health issues. I'd do almost anything (legal) outside gay porn. To have 2 legs . The porn i'd have to think about. Depending how well the new leg worked. BUT I'm on top ;)
I've inquired about a leg transplant. Said since there's face, heart and other organ replacements, even penis enlargements, and removals for the trans crowd. .
Why not a leg transplant? Was told too many nerve endings to reattach, getting replacement leg to mesh with current bone structure. Minor things. BUT the real issue is . IF a transplant was done. I'd have to be on anti-rejection meds for some time. Which for some reason, lowers your immunity to almost zero.
Screw that.
It's bad enough i'll be on some meds till further notice, for the heart.
I think your card just went up in value as well.
I hear you, Jim. I tell myself, at least I can get around well enough without a walker or a cane. I'm pissed that the first surgeon, a neurosurgeon, did such a poor job with my spinal nerves. I wish I had gone to the 2nd surgeon, an orthopedic surgeon, first. I'd have a much more normal life.
I have to appreciate that the nerves connected to the bottoms of my feet work and that I can still drive. I just have to be super careful walking on uneven surfaces. Once one of my feet rolls to one side or the other, it's rolling all the way and I'm going down (hence the broken ankles). Over the past several years I've taken several hard falls that fortunately haven't broken them again, but have banged me up pretty badly, particularly my right knee. The situation sucks, but I still have both of my legs. Much of the nerve feedback isn't there anymore, I have constant irritating nerve sensations (almost like a burning sensation), but I have enough feedback to know that they're there and that they're mine.
my issue is severe fibrosis(scar tissues) on my joints after surgery.
My orthopedic guy and few fellowship guy and residents said they have never seen this much in their lifetime.
damn fibers.
I do not think orthopedic guy will strongly discourage me to do a removal surgery but maybe I can convince him to do another MUA (manipulation under anesthesia).
Did you guys see this one? Not the exact video I first saw, but should be the same content.
