"Under new control" sounds so hostile. Normally signs of that nature use the words "management" or "ownership". Seems like the entire history of that business has been a giant battle and being under new "control" really fits the theme of the problems that business has had.
"...we have assumed control, we have assumed control, we have assumed control..."

That sounds to me like the investors (the money guys) didn't like the way their money was being managed/spent. My guess, the attempt to catch up and make right with all the people they screwed wasn't bringing any new money in, money was only going out so they put a stop to it.
Maybe they meant "Under Control"

Dear Shadow Ops Customer:
We are primary investors in Shadow Ops Weaponry, LLC. and were forced to shut it down due to apparent improprieties in the conducting of its business. We called in the ATF and the Colorado Attorney General's Office and the plant is under lock down and under investigation. We anticipate IRS involvement and possibly the U.S. Trustee and a Chapter 7 filing is likely. If a bankruptcy filing occurs you will be afforded a file number whereupon you can file a claim with the U.S. Trustee for what you believe is due you.
Under no circumstances do we accept, nor are we obligated, to assume or pay any of Shadow Ops Weaponry, LLC. debts.
Standard BS to CYA. It basically releases the "Investors" from liability. IMO this business was refunding money in such large quantities, they decided to file and make it look like something than it really is. I'd also not be surprised IF this "invesitgation" goes beyond the current employee pool. Figure the issues started 1+ years ago, maybe longer.

Update I finally got a return call from the local ATF office. Long story short, they told me they were working with the new owners and just have to go through a huge stack of papers to find my suppressors paperwork. In his words, "we have it and you'll get it soon."!!!!!!!
I would like like to add the guy I spoke to was extremely helpful, polite, and professional. He really gave the impression that everything was being handled.
