Took me a long time to notice the vehicle in the foreground, which made me realize that the flow was much bigger than I originally was imagining.

I've seen this before, great educational vid on HI lava flows. (predates this eruption). Lava tubes covered at about 5:15 which is why I wouldn't be walking on what appears to be dry lava near an active volcano!

(ETA: Also shows why the "new land" on the lava delta may be very short lived once this is over)

He was my geology prof at CSU (I had to take some science class, went with his). Good guy, I enjoyed him. He went around the world making other geology vids.
