Good Grief I was the 3rd post and that led up to my involuntary retirement. Time flies [Coffee]
Just read through this whole thread - it was quite interesting! I'm curious where everyone is now... 5+ years later.
As for the thread, I'm a satellite jockey in the USAF.
Wow, haven't seen some of the well established screen names in this thread for a long time, guess they all went out and found lives....
Look at dots on a screen, sometimes I look at squigles too, but I prefer dots
My 5 year update:
Stayed in parts for a few more years till I jumped shipped to become a service advisor. Did that for a year and decided I wanted out of the automotive industry.
Started working for a contractor that did background checks and other tasks for .gov (DOD, CBP, DHS, and OPM).
Then the oilfield boomed and I got offered a position for a pressure tester. Did that till they laid me off in March of last year. Took a few months off and finally took a job with a pipeline/construction company in purchasing/procurement and have been here since then. It has been a great job so far and I am really happy where I'm at.
I left Denver not too long after my last posting on this thread. Since then, I've taken over emergency management for my county.
I am still RETIRED. Last Fall, moved from Trinidad (with it's easy access to the NRA Whittington Center) to the "rust belt" - Illinois. Now I have no place to fire my .50 BMG Single shot bolt action. Sad. Boo Hoo..
Still working on junk, just a different fleet. Going on 20 years.
