Just got The Wood to show Gloria. I remember thinking it was pretty funny when it came out back in 1999. Basically just a couple of guys reminiscing about growing up in the LA suburb of Ingelwood, CA.
Not a movie but a mini-series, I just finished Generation Kill and would recommend it for any of you who haven't watched it yet
I forgot about this one. I'd like to check it out.
Generation Kill does look good. So it's basically a more modern day (2003) Band of Brothers type mini series from what I read. Only difference is it's coming from a reporters perspective right?
It's not really from his perspective but a reporter is embedded with them. I liked how alot of it was about their mental state and interactions with each other instead of all action all the time.
Just finished Predators.
A little too derivative of the first one, but much better than the AVP crap.
Enjoyable, but it bugs me when you watch a film and it does not show things you saw in the trailer.
Just got done watching the 1950 film-noir Gun Crazy/Deadly Is The Female. Two sharpshooters fall in love then go on a cross country crime spree. Lots of guns and car chases. A pretty racy movie for it's time.
Favorite hoaky quote;
We go together like...like guns and ammo.

I liked it. I thought it was funny. I read an article awhile back that said they did a bunch of that stuff on purpose to make it make it as close to the original as possible with still having a "new" story line.
I went and saw Red last night. It was pretty entertaining. I'm not sorry that I went and watched it. John Malkovich's character cracked me up pretty good.
The Road was good (probably because it was based on a book). It made my fiance all gung hoe to stock up on food. She's already bought a package of rice and some extra noodles. lol. The Road did a great job of making all the scenery very bleak and colorless. I'd like to see the same thing happen (only better) if they ever make a Mistborn movie.
