Ordered this on Feb 25th from Alpha Shooting Sports, immediately realized I ordered the wrong part, emailed them and the next morning they emailed me, said they corrected the order, issued a partial refund (which I told them I was okay with them keeping since I screwed up) and it was shipped same day. It arrived today.

I have the 5 quart Kitchen Aide with metal gears that we got when we first got married. It was one of the last of the ones with the metal gear box. I've always wanted a higher capacity mixer, but Kitchen Aide has gone to plastic gears on even their higher end line. Now when I make a 5+ quart cake recipe, I build an aluminum foil collar and pray. Bet you can knead some serious bread dough with that puppy.

Used to make pizza dough out of two of those when I can worked at Beau Jo's in Idaho Springs. We stored the dough in 30 gallon trash cans next to the rollers. White, wheat, and honey wheat!
My first Henry Rifle.
Just a basic one.
My 5qt purchased 2 yrs ago has metal gears. I know as they junked out this > < close to my second grind on 10 lbs chore ez oh. Of all things, the sams square trade warranty reimbursed me, for original price . $135 in parts later it's back in service.
Going to put the remaining towards one of these, or something similar. This one has a 5yr warranty, yes !

Latest purchase was 5 gals of 15w40 and some Transmission/Hydraulic fluid for the tractor. But, it's kinda boring.
On the other hand, I recently picked this little gadget up. Ambient Weather WS-2902 Personal Weather Station. Being a former weather forecaster I've wanted one of these for a long time. Got it hooked up with WU and WeatherCloud. It's fun.

Posted a pic of the stripped lower awhile back, but here is my "budget build" as it sits. I've got the standard trigger guard, but haven't installed it as I plan to get a magpul. I've got a line on an upper that I'll hopefully pick up this week sometime. The lower and LPK were purchased on gift cards putting this build at around $385 out of pocket.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...4824458393.jpg
Took a dive into the dark side with this Odin Works .300 Blackout upper, purchased from a forum member and apparently built by DangerLee. It's awesome!
Here mated with my DD lower, the Odin Works 16.1" SS barreled upper weighs 4 lbs. 2 5/8 ounces, 1/2 oz. lighter than the DDM4V11 upper. It's remarkably quiet and soft shooting with subsonic rounds. I'm looking forward to getting more target time with it later this week.

This will probably make my wife madder then anything I ever have or ever might bring home, including herpes:

According to Google Translate, "Das Keyboard" is German for "The Keyboard".
For the keyboard nerds, 5+ pounds of aluminum chassis, full mechanical action, and Cherry Brown MX switches. It has that old-school 90s keyboard feel that really appeals to my Engineer's soul.
It is also loud as hell, even though it is the quiet version. My wife hates loud typing, and when she returns from her retreat, she will probably break all my fingers and/or bash my skull in with it. But until she does, it is a sheer pleasure to type on.
RE: Keyboard. That knob on the upper right, does it go to eleven?
RE: Saw blade. Is that the most awesome Sawzall blade ever, or something else?
Saw blade- it's for a jigsaw.
Jigsaw blade - Bosch T style.
If you're unarmed, you are a victim
It cranks the typing experience up to 11.
It was pretty expensive as keyboards go, and I am not a gamer, so I don't really understand all the details in the ad copy. But people who type all day love this thing, and in just two days of use, I can see why. It is an old-school tactile experience that just feels productive. Reminds me of taking typing classes in high school, so it's probably completely unrelatable to the millineal set. They also sold an advanced version for dedicated typists that has no letters on the keys. Apparently, it's the black-belt equivalent of being a bad-ass typist. I am not that.
I'd get another one for work, but they are too expensive, and in a large open room with a bunch of folding tables, I'm pretty sure my peers and/or minions would kill me by day two.

It's a skeletonized blade for heat reduction. I was cutting some poly-carbonate sheet.
Thanks, both of those are pretty cool.
I have to imagine that setting a new password on that faceless keyboard would be futile for me.
Cherry MX Silent is where it's at...
Mechanical, but quiet.
HB handguard for the Scorpion. Get rid of those plastic cheesegraters on the side...

Went to go see my can today, it wasn't available at the moment. Oh wells.
Not a purchase...asked a service guy at the local Chevy dealer how I could get a sign like that. He said, "Just take that one." I'm a sucker for tin signs.
