Found one of those older springfield GI models (not the Mil Spec with the taller sights) to fill my old 1911 shaped hole in the collection. It's neat but it's got me thinking how much I want that damn Dan Wesson A2

Nice, I'd like to get a basic GI style 1911.
Was going to get one a couple weeks ago, but I bought a can instead :P
Here is my two barrels that I have. Top is a RRA heavy barrel, weighing in at 2.875 pounds. Below, Faxon lightweight nudging the scales at 1.20

The holster, not the Ruger Single Six. And, technically I didn't purchase the holster, but I did buy the leather, and the dye, and the hardware. Then it was just a case of making them play nice with each other.
Went and visited the fine folks at Mile High Shooting Accessories yesterday afternoon in Erie and bought a Tenebraex ARD w/ a flip cap. Pretty pricey at $121.00 but I didn't care for the extension tube ARD that came with my Vortex Scope. Neat thing is, the Tenebraex screws on to both the scope and the Vortex Ext. Tube.

Placed an order this morning for a throw ring for my Vortex Viper PST Gen II 1-6x24 through Optics Planet

The backbone of my latest project showed up...
Blackberry Pi T1000
Close... :D
40mm Precision Ground Rod and 40mm Precision Linear Bearing.
I'm going to attempt to build a turret based big bore reloading press (.50BMG for now, eventually .375Chey - gotta get a rifle first...)
I've already got 2 different .50BMG presses (Lee Kit, and Dillon BFR), but this has intrigued me for a while, and this part of it was cheap on eBay, so why not?
ETA:
Yes, I will do a build thread with details, pictures, and video's. That's a few weeks off at least though.
Post some cad and I can try to do a stress analysis with deflections for fun, provided I can find some of thst non existent free time.
Just won this on Gunbroker.

should be here in a few days :)
Figure since I'll have to find a new job, I might be forced into pocket carry and I don't have anything small enough for that.
SWEET!
Let me know if you want to sell those grips.
Got my dog a new bone

What are the light filters for, romance? I'm going to go look up a video of those drive on levelers.
bow chika wow wow...
Actually, just needed the Blue filter (I think).
There are motion sensor LED lights throughout the RV (but apparently not enough as I've ordered more). There's a wall mounted switch that controls one light in the bathroom, and another light that's a motion sensor unit. Instead of just an AC plug in night light, we want to leave the PIR light on auto, but tone it down for use as a night light.
I tried painting the lens, but that look like 70's porno unshaven ass.
Go live in your RV for 6 months with wife and 3 dogs. You'll get over that shit in a hurry. I did.

We traded in a 2004 that, except for the shitty underbuilt Lippert frame, had been extremely reliable and was in very good condition. But we only use it about 30 days a Year total and don't put a ton of miles on it.
Cheaper to fly to Mexico 4x times, but hard to bring the boat, friends, etc...
Now just have to wait for Brown to drive it up from MS.

Well FFS...I guess I'll just have to start vetting every employee of every company I ever decide to do business with. I'm sure you do that.
ETA: Guess we all should stop buying from anyone or any business that sells HS Precision products, too, because LH worked there for a while. You know...like Cabela's, Brownell's, MidwayUSA, etc...
The Taco got new bones! Not really a “purchase”, since Toyota paid for it. After a couple failed attempts and a class action lawsuit, Toyota replaced the frame on my ‘05 Tacoma. Obviously, a complete disassembly of the truck, so I paid for some things to be done on the cheap while it was apart (clutch, water pump, power steering rack, axles, new shifter,). So far, so good. I expected lots of new creaks and rattles, but it seems better than ever, drives straight, etc.

Wow...a new frame! You'd think it would be cheaper to give you a new truck. That's great.
