22 rifle giveaway - for KIDS only----Last and FINAL ONE

AWESOME for you to do this, and the charity other folks chip in with, thanks for the opportunity!

Ill nominate my daughter, Oriana. She's a big 5 year old who's been enjoying shooting her BB rifle for a little bit now. She gets a HUGE smile when she takes her time, and is rewarded with the pop can falling! She loves camping, and has been pestering since March to go camping again. We tried a few weekends but just a little too much when its windy or snowing each attempt! She wants to go hunting in the woods with a "real gun" as she puts it. And wants to shoot a real animal with it. We've gone over, and she understands that she can, but she has to practice and be real good with her rifle first, and she has to use what she kills, otherwise its not hunting, its just killing. She does surprisingly very well with gun safety currently. She knows she needs safety glasses, and earmuffs when using any gun (good practice!) The gun doesnt get pointed at anyone, turning safeties on and off, keeping the gun pointed in a safe direction etc. She decided when the BB gun came home it should live in the safe, unloaded as well. Her cousins Im sure would get use out of it as well (older girl, younger boy) as they have also been practicing with her BB gun and blowing away pop cans too! So this would get some real use, for years to come!

This is my son with his Red Ryder. He loves to shoot it with me and is a great kid. He is on the younger side at 5 1/2 but is responsible for the age and listens and follows direction well. We have been wanting to get him a .22 rifle but due to budget constraints and the IRS nailing us we have not been able to. My son Rowan just graduated from Cubbies in Awana and will be graduating from preschool this month. He would like to be a cardiologist when he grows up. Lol

ETA: I did have a .22 for both my boys the younger is 3y/o that had bought from a work friend of mine. I had it all set up with a small scope and 1000 rounds of ammo. This was three years ago and then he called me after 6 months and told me that he needed the rifle back since is grandfather had given it to his father and then to him. He didn't know this when he sold it, so I gave it back with all the ammo and scope. Which was a huge bummer since my boys were going to learn on it. If my son Rowan was to be chosen we will take pictures and use it quite a bit. Hopefully he can pass it down generations like my friends rifle.

Good to see something like this, sad to know it won't happen anymore. I'd nominate my stepson, but he's a couple years over the limit.

dang, those kids are over 1300rds of .22 each already. You guys are a generous bunch! Wish I had a kid to enroll ;). My 25yo brother in law is probably disqualified.

Be interesting to see how long 1300 rounds will last a kid with a new gun, probably not very long.

better then zero. then its just a crappy club. just remember a full mag dump is one round. lol [Flower]

I will nominate my daughter Autumn. Her older brother has a 22 he uses so he is good. But little sister loves to go shooting with dad more then her brother and she is tired of trying to pump the pellet gun haha! She has been around guns since she was born and is safer then most of the guys I shoot with. There are lots of great kids already in the running and I have met some of them, so who ever wins the rifle its a win-win.

My older son has gone through a whole box of 500 rounds in a single range session with his single shot rifle many times. Now that him and his bother have a lever action and 10/22s they can go through even more.
