I knew that willow bark ( a primary food for moose) has salicylic acid which aspirin is derived from. Willow bark tea or even chewing on willow has been used for thousands of years for many uses including pain relief. Interesting that aspen also contains salicin and populin which have anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and sedative properties. Google 'aspen bark, salicylic'.
I guess if a moose gets a moose sized hangover from eating too many fermented juniper berries, they only have to chew on willow and aspen bark.
