My neighbors are ignorant Mexicans and refuse to speak english and they don't speak english with their kids. I just told them that they aren't doing their kids and favors by only teaching them spanish. I don't speak spanish with them. If they want to talk it has to be in english.
As an immigrant myself, I'd say most other immigrant nowdays have lost it. From the dollar bill to the pledge, they wanted them to change and fit their taste......

On the flipside of that, My father in-law is a first generation Mexican that up until two weeks ago I had never heard speak Spanish, reason being his parents, that hardly speak any English, came up to visit from Mazatlan to see Jess (his daughter) and I get married. He's lived in the U.S. now for 30 years and is a bigwig for Lockheed.Quote:
