A few years ago we were at the doctor for my daughter, and were messing around with the thing they use to look in your nose and ears. I looked into my wife's ear and said, "Holy S**T there is something in your ear!" I thought it was a bug or something. We had the doctor look and she was like "Yep, definitely something in there. You should see a doctor probably." The next doctor said something similar. Several months go by (nearly a year) and finally a physician at a Walgreens take care clinic flushed it out for us for free (during another trip for our kid). Here is what it was. It is hollow in the middle so it never effected her hearing. This could have been in there for years for all my wife knows. She never felt anything and it never bothered her.
I think it looks like the jacket that goes on the end of an ear plug.
