Scratchy, was your dad an NCO or an O? I always seemed to envy the USAF guys because they could really dress in a really slouchy conditions compared to the Army guys (or so it always seemed).Quote:

I really do appreciate all the "Thank you's" for my time in service. Actually, I enlisted in 1955 for a three year hitch with the written promise of being able to attend the military school of MY choice. With my love/fascination for firearms, of course I chose the Small Arms Repair School at Aberdeen Proving Grounds. Still REALLY like guns of all types with the M1 Garand remaining my favorite of all of them......
