Cool of you to do, hope Lucas finds a good home
Well, crap.
Today while I was at work, I got a call from my wife. She had taken Lucas out from the shelter for his daily outing, and when she took him back, he freaked out and kept running away from the shelter staff and hiding behind my wife. I get a call from her, and I can tell she's crying. She can't leave him there.
Long story short, we're "fostering" him now. I just got home from work, and he came out to see who it was, and got super excited when he saw me. Now and he's crashed out on my chest.
I'm screwed.

You may be screwed...but Lucas wins the doggie lottery! If "fostering" means the same thing to you as it means to me, Lucas is home. I don't even go through the ridiculous exercise of telling the shelter people I'll foster a dog any more. It's too embarrassing to have them laugh that long at me.
That's awesome. He looks fairly comfy and content in that picture. [Coffee]
You have been adopted.
I have 2 rescued dogs,
Nice work Fen!
Guess it's a good thing your wife doesn't work at the homeless shelter. [Tooth]
There is a reason I do not foster dogs.
They probably mean small/young children. The breed is listed somewhere i read as "not good for houses with children", for the dog's safety. many children do not know how fragile a small breed like this could be, and there are lots of injuries to a dog via ruffhouseing or a kid falling on them, etc.
I have 4 offspring, and none of them would help me take care of him. Im already cleanin up after them and take care of them so... :-(
