These are the most common APC in the world but I agree a police dept doesn't need them. Most third world military's are buying our surplus up but they are used for actually military operations.

Let's hope the Sheriff bought this just in case SHTF so he can help the good guys. Hey, its a possibility. We still have a few good Sheriffs in CO.
The second they roll it out against civilians, they join the bad guys.
They actually used this thing against a man barricaded in a house in south Lakewood a few years back...ran it through the wall, dropped the rear ramp, jumped out and arrested him. The house was a rental.
I knew they have had it awhile but hadn't heard about that. So much for my hopes.
