Yes, the pic was from about 30 mins before game time. I think if you were on the second or upper deck the view would be good to go. It's not a dedicated ice hockey venue so you have to decide if the outdoors hockey was worth the novelty.

Seems like Sports Authority field would be a better place to setup a make believe pond hockey game.
Baseball diamonds and hockey rinks don't exactly go together it seems.

I was staring at the boards and could only see from the center face off circle and further away. The views from Michigan Stadium, even upper level were much better, even though the players were a lot smaller.
