I seriously doubt Trump wants to give up his current lifestyle to be the POTUS. He'll likely take full credit for getting the Clintons back to the white house while destroying the Republican party when he loses.

Of course it does. That's how we got Trump as the R nominee. Again...him being the nominee can't be blamed on the R party "leadership". There were some good choices in the mix of 17 candidates. This is squarely on the voters. Of course, the voters only voted for him because the party "leadership" has so totally betrayed the people on the right.
These conspiracy theories that Trump is a Hillary plant, or he doesn't really want to be president just launch [insert business venture here] make as much sense as Elvis being the shooter on the Grassy Knoll.
He wants to be president, he's invested way too much in his campaign to be just a plant and stands to lose a LOT if he loses (he's burned his bridge to the entertainment world, that's for sure and probably burned his bridge to the NYC power structure, which he needs to continue development in NYC) ... and frankly he would just drop out now if he was just a plant (Mike Pence isn't going to win on his own).
Whether he can win or not, whether he's a good guy or not, none of this means that he's throwing the election on purpose. The idea is just silly.
