I hear that. I was wasting too much of my time planning for the zombie apocalypse. Now I buy guitars, haha.

That's kind of where I'm headed. I'm sure people on here notice that I don't really buy a lot of gun stuff. It's not that I'm just here for the post count, but I already have guns that I never shoot, so I realize I don't need even more that I'll never shoot. I've gotten the point that I actually have more guns than can fit in a small stack-on case and it makes me more annoyed than it does proud. On the other hand, I also don't really sell anything either, so I don't anticipate ever getting rid of anything.
I don't know why you would get blasted, thinning the herd and being extremely proficient with what you keep is a very valid plan.
I still have a larger number of firearms, but I have contemplated cutting way back to 4-5 core guns.
I've started focusing on finishing projects that I've started. I've got so many partially built projects, that I have boxes of parts/pieces for them scattered all over. House projects, motorcycle projects, gun projects, computers, CNC stuff, electronic projects, and the list just keeps going.
As for purchasing things, you know the original topic of the thread, it depends on the subject matter. Some stuff I border on paralysis by analysis, others are pure impulse. My wife even makes fun of me for the difference in behavior depending on what it is.
I've been contemplating selling most of my collection lately. Can't do it. At least not in this market.
I wanted the P10c as well. I got over it by buying a P07 impulsively. I no longer have interest in the P10c.

Over the last few decades I've gone thru various phases. Gotta buy one of everything. Then sell a ton of stuff. Then buy collector type stuff I'd never shoot. Then sell it cause I never shoot it and buy something else.
Right now I'm having the same feelings as Fentonite. I'd like to sell a few things but the market just won't allow that right now. It's definitely a buyer's market now if you're looking for guns.
I bet we could corelate collection stages to age groups.
I am tryin to pare down my toys too. It has been hard as my son seems to like to shoot all of them and so far only dislikes the AR. As has been mentioned, guns are cheap right now so a few extra guns that are not even worth a case of 223 - why sell now? Also what kind of father would I be if I did not have an AR lower for each of my kids?
@lead_magnet what optics did you settle on for the sbr?
@Gman you can't tease about all the research you did on washer/dryer without telling about it.
It use to be really really bad about 2005-2008. I don't even know how active I was on 10-15 gun forums and Trade/EE/Classified side. Yes, I checked all those forum sites every day for a gun deals at that time.
BUY IT!
I've contemplated selling a couple myself...and have in the past. cutting it down to 4 or 5 is just crazy talk.
I count it as entertainment to poke around in the safe for something you haven't seen in a while.
