Ok dropping some geese. There's gun fire around here on a daily basis, not one swat team or any other LE shows up. Probably 1/2 doz blinds around the lake, down the block from the school, end of the street.

Could it be someone with an old-fashioned nail gun? Sounds like there're some echoes but the "echoes" are the louder sounds.
I've heard a lot of roofing going on and that's way too loud for a nail gun. Plus, I'm not sure what kind of outdoor construction would have been going on that day.
This occurred very near my office. There is a large construction site just to the left of the video's field of view and they start very early in the morning. My bet is on somebody messing around with a cartridge nail gun, authorized or unauthorized.

Update from Jeffco sheriff today says that the "shots" were actually noise from a malfunctioning generator on the roof of the safeway shopping center building at Ken Caryl and Alkire.
