I am so sorry for your loss Rondog. I have told SO many new gun owners that they should only load with live rounds AFTER they have learned the fundamentals of how the gun works, safe gun handling, etc. Unfortunately, too many people don't and start messing around with loaded firearms. Again, so sorry to hear this news.
I hope it's not seen as flippant or something. But in hindsight, it doesnt seem like the best beginners handgun either. Light little single action trigger, 1911 style. 1911's always seem to confuse new shooters more that I've seen. I still hate my wifes coworkers that pusher her into a Kimber CDP 2 in .40. (Soon discontinued after because it doesn't run for shit) Likewise super hard for her to rack etc.
There but for the grace of God... Some of us have kept our guardian Angels very busy.
Sorry for the loss of your friend.
Sorry for your loss, and with all due respect do you believe it could be intentional at all?
The last two people that I knew who committed suicide with a gun I never in 1 million years would’ve thought they wanted to die...
My loss for words is only overpowered by the loss you, her friends and family are going through.
Sorry to hear the SAD news.
That's awful. I'm so sorry.
RIP. Heart breaking.
No, highly unlikely, happy life with a great family. Cops are calling it an accident. I haven't heard the report, but if they found the gun with the mag out, slide locked back, and one loose round with the mag - that would tell the tale. But I don't know if that's what they found, I can only speculate.
RIP Candie.....
