I would have just told the donkey you work flat rate and installing a barrel nut pays you .3 hours. I see that crap all the time though. Similarly, my wife is a veterinarian and there are a lot of folks that think her time and resources should be free.

They don?t see all the times that the book pays two hours and it took four or five the first few times. We even got to the point where we would ?sit? on the car to avoid these conversations. You should have asked if he called around to see what others charge and their turn around time. I think the refund idea would have been awesome to take it off and send him on his way.
