I'm curious if the people getting averages of 1.6 or better are using a ruler to help check angles and stuff. I've been tempted, but have stayed honest so far.

I couldn't get the numbers to look nice so I took a screenshot. (even that kindof sucked) Nailed the first midpoint exactly. That third paralellogram killed my average.

I really tried to take my time on this one (6th game ever)

I think people who can get in the 1 range either spend a hell of a lot of time trying this or use a ruler or something to figure it out and give them just a little bit more of an edge over the naked eye.
I have a CRT screen, so i think a flat screen would help with the resolution.
In my experience, I've learned a little about how to look for the right angles. I go to either side first, just so I know where it starts to look acute, then where it starts to look obtuse, then go from there.
Alright, I'll play...
Parallelogram 3.6 2.0 2.8
Midpoint 0.0 1.0 2.2
Bisect angle 3.4 5.1 0.9
Triangle center 8.2 7.3 4.8
Circle center 2.2 1.0 2.2
Right angle 1.9 0.4 0.9
Convergence 6.4 3.0 2.8
Average error: 2.96 (lower is better)
Wow... This took me about 15 tries... It's the center of the triangle one that kills me every time!
My 3.06 was my first try, and apparently I just got lucky... I've never scored that low again in a number of tries since. My kryptonite seems to be the convergences.
