Just as a heads-up, if you get your application in to Frontier Sportsman's Club now, you'd be lucky to get approved in the next round of new memberships (should be in March). They've had quite a few military members move away so more open slots have been available than usual. If this isn't the case next year, you should definitely be offered a slot in 2021.
Thanks to all those who have been so welcoming, the responses make me look forward to shooting and gun collecting with such a friendly group of people.
There are 3 reasons I avoid DragonMan's:
3. Unprofessional Employees. I've had undeserved hateful attitudes from employees on the range as I collect my own brass. I even had 1 RSO insist he needed to shoot my wife's new handgun--even before she got to shoot it (I didn't allow it).
2. Hot brass. The lanes are so close that I am constantly bombarded with hot brass in my face, down my shirt and across my torso when anyone is to my left.
1. Dangerous clientele. It would be easier for me to count the times I wasn't flagged by a "guests" loaded weapon than for me to count the times that I was. I don't have a great life, but I do like living.
