That's fun. We sat in on the closing statements for the case where the guy shot his co-worker up by 84th Ave and I-25 a few years ago.
Things have definitely changed. The last time I was called for jury duty and actually had to show up in Jeffco, the Judge came in and made one of the other potential jurors go put on long pants (he was wearing board shorts), or face potential contempt charges...I was actually never in the box for voir dire...
1st alternate, to the panel after the 1st juror was excused, and was excused as my butt hit the seat and I was headed for the car. I don't live my life where everything is a shade of grey, and apparently defense attorneys don't like that. [Coffee]
My wife had Grand Jury duty one year quite a few years back.
Once a month for a whole year. Ugh.
