I'm consigned to buying mostly Merrell for hiking/shooting/general purpose "boots" due to my duck feet. They're comfortable enough for what they cost, but the outer materials (toe caps) are pure crap. $145 for these and the chicom "rubber" toecap will be trash falling apart in 4-5 years.

The best boots I've ever owned are Red Wings. Steel toe, water proof, super comfortable for 12+ hr. days.

I have different boots for different purposes, as someone stated before.

My dad has EEE feet.... always has trouble finding shoes. Like finding flippers for a duck.
