great, now I'm all paranoid ... got the electrician coming tomorrow to fix their screw ups, hopefully he won't need in the house much though... maybe I will call in tomorrow.
I'd hate to miss another bomb scare though... that took 2 hours out of my day. :)

I have serious trust issues as it is. I also REALLY value my privacy (my blinds are almost always closed in my home). All of the doors to my home stay locked at all times (unless someone is going through the door; otherwise, it's locked).Quote:

I pretty much personally know anyone who comes to my house for some kind of service since it's a small community. And most of those people will have free reign of the house as needed.
But if you're coming up my driveway and you're not in a UPS or FedEx truck or LE-marked car...I'd better damn sure recognize your vehicle or be expecting you. Except for a few close friends most people know NOT to come up my drive unannounced.
How are people supposed to announce they are coming if they don't know you? Send up a flare from the street when they turn off? :D
From what I've read from Bailey and looked at on his web site I'd say if you send up a flare he's probably going to grab his FAK and come to see if you need help. :)Quote:

Guess i'm an optimist and think that the majority of people are good, however i still have locks on everything! Also, forget service people, how about your friends, or kids friends. My parents always told me "don't bring your friends in the house or show them your valuables, they will steal them". I always thought they were paranoid and of course "none of my friends ever stole anything", or at least until I saw a "friend" steal something at another friends house. That is crazy and gives you the worst knots in your stomach, not to mention you lose your trust of EVERYONE!Quote:
