You missed another one too, IED.
Improvised explosive device.
You have VBIED's (vehicle born), EFP's, and just plain ole f'n IED's. An EFP is an explosively formed projectile, which is a type of IED, but much much worse. They cut right through armor.
There are other's but this is the big three for IEDs.
Oh heck, we could post hundreds if not thousands of glossary def's for abbreviated words/phrases and barely touch the surface. I do love it when I get stumped though!
