Would be a great way to do it. Climb all the way up, do your job and then just jump off.

Call me greedy, but if I getting a bunch an hour as I am sure they are, you better believe I am using safety gear on a job like that. I would like to hear the boss complain about that one.
Ah, no. Fook dat. I couldn't even watch it all. Skydiving never bothered me, but NFW I'm climbing any damn towers.
It would really suck to get a case of the fumble fingers and drop a bolt.
I worked as a steeplejack for 10 years back east. We did radio towers, water tank, and steeples, but in all honesty I don't think I could do that tower. [Help]
It doesn't bother me. If I knew the tower would hold me I don't think I'd have a problem doing it, especially if it paid well. The problem I would have is that it didn't look like those cats were using very much in the way of safety gear.... I would have to be tethered, even if it meant I moved slower.
They should just hire base jumpers for that job! Climb it, fix it, and an easy way down! lol.
Yipes!
That last part - climbing the 3" or 4" pipe... almost made me sick watching it...
Nope - couldn't do it.
Free climbing without any safety[Help] No way. That is crazy scary.
Somebody that can do this has something missing from their brain. People are allowed to do this but California is trying to outlaw BigMacs???
What I don't understand is what's the hurry? If you're getting paid by the hour use the safety stuff. It must be a 'macho' thing.
