these people knew the risks, life isn't risk free. Either we ban everything and only allow government approved activities or you know, we could allow people to make their own decisions and live (or not) with the consequences. The 2nd choice seemed to work fine for the first 175 years or so in this country.






BTW, I wear my seat belt in my car/truck, nothing else. I'll still die someday, from something, just like everyone else. Nobody gets out alive.

We had a 23yo kid partially ejected, in a roll over accident, up here about three weeks ago. The meat wagon got to use the shovels.

This. This guy's stupidity cost his wife her husband, and his daughter her father. He won't be there to watch his daughter grow up, or graduate, or give her away at her wedding, or help with school projects. He won't be able to help the wife raise the daughter, or anything else. In the end he failed at his greatest responsibility - providing for his family. Suicide by stupidity. I feel sorry for the wife and daughter, this is the worst time of year for something like this; not that there's ever a good one.

anyone that knows anything about insurance will tell you that its a risk assessment gamble.
This is the whole reason that smokers pay more than non smokers. You are doing something stupid that will cause you to die.
It is also why Soldiers and Civilians in Combat zones cannot get normal life insurance. Pretty risky career choice.


I give a damn if you pay more or less, you will pay more if your underwriter makes bad Decisions. Writing a policy for a catapult test pilot is a bad move.



But yeah, just calling my rant stupid with absolutely no valid argument works too.

I don't know why they are bothering with seatbelts in Ford Broncos when those vehicles haven't been built since I believe 1996 or 1997. I had a Mustang with the same problem. Go to the dealer or find new ones online. A vehicle that old will develop problems. It is the consumers responsibility to make sure the safety features in any vehicle are working properly. I did notice that GM has ANOTHER seatbelt recall. Seems they still can't get it right. Here's an idea, take the seatbelts out of the seats! Bolt them to the floor like everyone else.
