You're not lost, there are just 75ish characters that are introduced throughout the whole series. Think of it like trying to completely grasp the complexity of either of the World Wars in a single, one hour program. Not going to happen.
ya thats what i figured, overall i liked it and have my dvr set to record the whole thing.
I thought it was great. It might be tough to get into it unless you've read the books, though. I definitely will be watching the rest of them but I'm not sure the wife will watch anymore. Her comment was "no wonder you like this they show lots of boobies". I replied "I only watch it for the stories".

I didn't read the books, but reviews of the series from people who did read the books, their primary question is why was the "marriage night" scene in the tv series so rapey, when in the books the guy was nice to her?
