For those of us who carry SA/DA handguns with decocking levers, this incident may serve as a good reminder to decock before holstering. Very little pressure is needed on the trigger when that hammer is cocked.

I was waiting for someone to chime in about Huffingtonpost... consider the source, not much considering how short the article is. We really know only one thing- his gun went off while at a range while putting it back in the holster, that's it, it doesn't imply weapon malfunction, user error, clothing getting in the way, or anything... but let's just jump to conclusions anyway!Quote:

The only reason it was posted is because it was Nancy Reagan's SS that shot himself. Not sure what the long to term goal is but the short term is an embarrassing story that includes and member of the right wing.
