You can also buy a fishing liscense to use as id with your address on it. This happened to me at Sports Authority when I bought my 10/22. I didn't think my car registration had my current address on it. It turns out that it did, but they said I could have just gone to the front counter for a fishing liscense.

I have never changed my dl address but have the new address on my CCW and have never had any problems.
I'm not sure how I could use my CCW to purchase from an FFL; my CCW does not have an address printed on it.
