Well, I would highly recommend the Magnolia Hotel at 17th & Stout. I designed the bar - Harry's and room prototype (1120 I think). It is a great place to stay and they have guest happy hour and cookies/milk at night/ breakfast in the morning included. Sambuca (Cuban) for dinner. You should get a great rate for Sun/Mon.
Not in Denver proper, but for a dinner you and your wife won't soon forget, make reservations at "the Fort" down in Morrison, Highway 285 & SH 8.
They used to have night helicopter flights to see the night sky of Denver, but I don't know if they still do.
And as far as hotels , anywhere but downtown Denver or east Colfax.
If you have a concealed carry permit, please pack iron if you go to LoDo.
Thanks all!!!
Fado's looks great, not sure about what hotel, just depends on who has a open room for Sat night & the location.
Have eaten at The Fort and it was really good, not quite as good as expected, but it was quite tasty. Also like eating at the buckhorn exchange but just want something besides steak and taters.
The Mrs wants to find a Sunday Brunch of some kind...The Inverness has some rooms, but it seems fancier than what we are looking for.
Since CO recognized WY permits I always carry when in Denver or Colorado for that mater, better to have and not need than need and not have...Just don't like the hi cap mag ban even if it does not pertain to visitors.
Oh and we looked at Mon Chalet, the wife likes the idea of a in room whirlpool...never thought of that before, but it would be great to kick back & soak in the room.....now need to see if we can find another hotel that offers in room whirlpools..
Question, how is "The Curtis" Doubletree hotel, HH6 likes how close it is to 16th street, nightlife, shopping & such..
