Survival Camping

unfortunately for me it might have to wait til spring given my schedule. id like to find a place that we can practice some shooting out to at least 500 yards, don't know if anything exists like that in the mountains, but i have a range finder so it would be fun to try. id probably try to easy going camping with skills practice the first few times before practicing my bug out. the thing is, i would in most cases have time to load up my car within 30 minutes and i have a driving plan to get to the mountains using side roads, in most cases i don't think id need to "bug out" with just a bag. still good to be prepared though. i designed my plan more around being able to survive up there year round

though some of you are being *******s :) i understand that maybe thread is slightly undefined. maybe you would like to start off from the basics. www.m4040.com is a good resource for custom knife building, basic med kits, shelter, food, fire & basic survival tips.

i went camping a couple years ago in Utah, and it was -12 a night, luckily we found a old powder magazine to hole up in. so far i've found that most of my kit is pretty well stocked in molle pouches. Minimalist training in this type of practice scenario means we can become more effective with our bug out bags. in my experience, most people only plan on being away from civilization for approximately three days and then they go back to get some bottled water and Wendy's.
