Come to think of it, I haven't seen any news that isn't bullshit in a long time.

I still don't get the hassle of open carry.... If people mean that it's the cops being called, they should see it as a good thing. One, you know that some scared lib will call the cops on some gang banger pos if they see one with a gun, that's good because you know they are doing their part in trying to keep the shit off the streets. Two, now if you're not dressed like tard open carrying, they will see that normal people also carry guns, so gun people are not all psycho's. This will come after you chat with the popo, and they let you go, the lib will see that you are A-OK. The only loss, is of your time. Seriously, how many times has that happened anyway for everyone to be screaming that it is a hassle?
I personally, in all the instances of OC, have never been hassled by the PD, but it will only take one time to be one time too many. What if I'm running late somewhere, or what if I just don't feel like I need to take 5-15 minutes (department depending) out of my day to explain why I'm carrying? I feel that alone is what would aggravate me about stupid libtard anti-gun assholes. Really I'd rather just avoid it and be CC... YMMV
I get what you're saying, but, you can't say anything about the hassle, because you've never had to go through it. Right? I've walked by cops while open carrying, they see me and the gun, nod, we all smile, and keep going our way. Now if I were wearing some kind of red bandana on my head, with sagging pants, and walking like I have a weird limp, I can see how I might have a problem with that situation... [Tooth]
I look at it as, it's a hassle when everyone has gone through it, or it IS going to happen to you more times than not. Then it's a hassle.
I had a pos exploder that was a hassle, the damn thing died all the time, and killed it's batteries every time I bought a new one for it (something in the wiring). Dealing with that pos on a daily basis (had to buy a portable jump start box), was a hassle, so I got rid of it. Now looking at this differently from another point of view... Why would I get rid of it or stop driving it (going with mine has never had a problem) if someone else had a problem with it once, maybe even twice at some point? Out of the hundreds out there in the state, with only a hand full having problems, should I stop get rid of it then? Is it really a hassle? Or is someone blowing shit out of proportion? Even if it gets a dead battery on me once, should I stop get rid of it? Do you see what I mean?
I just don't get why people blow the open carry crap out of proportion, that's all.
0 times in 6 years, a few polite curious questions from folk in lines. Granted I don't go out a whole lot.
Wearing something above Larry the cable guy quality clothes helps a lot. That and many people are surprisingly good about not even noticing.
Granted I'm becoming more paranoid about some moronic california or jersey transplant causing me grief. (I may behaved but doesnt mean they won't lie to dispatch.) Bad enough where I just moved to has a number of new residents with either coexist stickered subaru's or unwashed jersey plated audi's. Can't wait to see next time I'm packing out the arsenal to the car for a range trip.
