The thing that kills me is that I carry on campus not only to have it with me on campus, but more so because I have to take public transportation to and from school often late at night. Now you can argue that in the classroom I am safe even though we all know better, but what about while I am commuting to campus?

That's the #1 issue I have! My brother goes to Metro, last year he had a class at 1800-2000- well after dark in the winter months, and he said Auraria is not a very friendly looking place when you are there after sunset and you parked over by Colfax. There were reports of muggings near there last year and he said "I'd rather have my M&P and not need it than need it and not have it."

I'm on the auraia campus as well, and I can attest that it is a shitty place to be after dark. I've had multiple cops run past me chasing people at night, people getting robbed at knife point in a bathroom and other various incidents. The library here is a public library as well so they cannot deny non students from being in there. These as issues on this campus that doesn't even talk about the lack of safety at times on the public transportation system. I asked a cop that works here about how many gun do they see on campus. He told me that they confiscate 50-60 guns per semester from non CCW permit holders.

The only thing they should ban from that campus is the football team....Whoa..
