Congratulations... You own a SCAR-16!!! You lucky bitch you!
You got some better mags, and a better pistol grip. NICE!!! Still you didn't do anything to detract from the value of the gun.
Also, an ACOG looks nice up there. The matching special edition FDE AGOG for sale 6 months ago would look better, but its still an ACOG, right??
You didn't detract anything from this firearm while making it yours. It is still worth market value plus the ACOG (I would have gone red, but if green is your thing thats cool too). Just don't try to sell it for $1K over MSRP, people here know better.
Still, your firearm does NOT suck.
Awesome thread
A used Kimber.... so you get the cool guy attitude of having a "nice" 1911, but without tha chance of having one of the Kimbers that actually works right?????
I kid... but probably???
Ok I kid some more...
Can't see the correct side, so shame on you for taking the pic on that side. Guessing a series 70? Looks in good conditions, but needs some cleaning and love ASAP. Get on it.
It is strangely more "officer 1911" authentic than I have seen any kimber in real life. Perhaps the picture is saving you, perhaps it is just in a cool condition, but this man that thinks that most all Kimber's suck says.... This firearm does NOT suck.
Ok.... The calico Jack isn't my favorite of Spikes lowers, but at least it isn't something polymer. Still, a bit kitschy on occasion for me. Looks to be a carbine length gas on a 8.5-9.5 inch bbl. Unless it is a dissy style 9mm AR pistol, but I doubt that.
I could judge better if I could see it function... a ~9 inch 5.56 bbl is not seldom easy to make cycle every time. Additionally, I haven't in person run into a wrap on a pistol AR buffer tube like that before. So giving the benefit of the doubt that the firearm cycles reliably, this does NOT suck.
Looks like a REM 700 short action on an AICS. This is so hard to judge without knowing more. Because of the AICS, I'll assume it is built out (but ignore that the scope might make me question that).
So... we have an AICS with a short action on it... COOL! Probably a .308, maybe a .260, but probably not. I think .260 is too cool for this gun. But still, .308 is kinda cool, right?
Lets just assume that this rifle is worth the chassis it is in. It should have a lapped and printed bolt, trued barrel threads, etc. It has the super sweet bolt knob... but not sure everything else... maybe, maybe not.
Unfortunately, I am a glass snob. I would have gone with something (S&B, USO, or even NF) over the Vortex glass before the chassis, brake, or dang near anything else I assume is on this rifle from the tiny pic. Unfortunately, your rifle sucks. But don't cry. It is much easier than some of the others to get to a good state. So you got that going for ya.. right???
Close.... it is a 10.5" .300 black
gen II is with a CASV midlength the paracord wrap had to come off for a new base plate.
