That tactic has been around for many many years. You see a force in which you are about to be reckoned with (letters, emails, gun sales, etc.), and you make that force believe you are backing down, or on It's side. The fight is not over, some would say it hasn't even begun. Continue to send your letters and emails, and keep your guard up!

It may not be a knee jerk in january, but you can bet they will try something in the next 4 years, wait for the right time, for the right deal...something that republicans want badly enough that they will let something like 30 round mags go by the wayside in a rider on one of their bills.
Michael Moore can kiss my ass. I trust him and respect his opinion about as much as I respect the opinion of any liberal on gun control.
