This. They held off limits last time until they got complaints that some customers were cleaning the shelves so they are trying to please as many customers as they can. Don't blame Wally World or other vendors for instituting purchase limits on a high demand, low supply product.Quote:

I've asked a few different guys about the $20 100-box of 9mm that I've only seen once, and have been told they usually get 8-10 boxes at a time and sometimes one guy buys it all. So if this policy means I can find WWB or the cheapo Federal on the shelf occasionally, I'm on board.

cebelas has a 10 box limit going right now
i was in the WM at county line and 470 christmas eve and grabbed the last of the .223 they had. no limit at that point, but they only had a very small amount.
its .308 that i need and they said they are totally out but will be restocking after first of the year....
I think it's lame, they are in the business to sell products, if you have someone standing there with cash in hand waiting to buy something, sell it.

In the long term, though, they need happy customers and repeat customers to stay in business. If every time you go, the shelves are bare, you'll start going somewhere else. Then, you won't be in the store to spend your money on all the high-margin stuff. For Wal-Mart, one guy buying ten boxes is not nearly so good as five guys buying two. The five guys will buy more other stuff.Quote:

Cabelas 10 box limit is funny because it means I can only buy 5000 rounds of 7.62x39 (it also applies to their 500 round value packs of herters which is Tula by the way)
