Can we get more pedantic in our whines? I know what they mean when they say "clip", you know what they mean when they say "clip", John and Jane Q. Public know what they mean when they say "clip". It's like people going to Georgia whining about how carbonated beverage there is referred to as a "Coke" even when you grabbing a Fanta Orange or Dr. Pepper.
Hmm... guess I don't understand and am not a part of the culture then despite shooting for nearly 40 years as I catch myself every now and then saying "clip" when I meant "magazine". I'll agree Schumer and Feinstein and O'Donnell are ignorant as hell but at least get a real complaint rather than whining about semantics. It's important for you/me to know the difference between AC and DC when plugging something in; I don't really give a dang if someone refers to a "clip" rather than "magazine" for an AR or 1911 as long as they're not trying to jam a Garand clip in MY AR.
... and what I'm saying is that it's a pretty trivial thing to get all worked up over. I'd much rather berate Schumer and Feinstein for not understanding the plain English syntax of "Congress shall make no law" than the semantics of "clip" vs. "magazine".
Only you guys get pissed about this. No one else gives a shit and will continue to use this terminology until Websters changes the definition. There is 4+ threads on this same thing and we get it. Its a magazine....[hammer]
