How much do you think this will go for?

Honestly, really not worth the money. This shows however how much money you can make just by doing something that other people are just too lazy to do. The hardest part of that project, would be finding a steel receiver. You could send it out for engraving like that for a couple grand, and the color casing could easily be done in one's garage if they had a kiln. The rest can be purchased online. So, if you can find steel receivers, you're in the clear for whatever the price is of them and a couple thousand for the engraving. Oh, and that is one ugly bitch...

The HQ for the National Shooting Sports Foundation is in Newtown, CT. They host the SHOT show...so it makes sense.

It's a Turnbull and the proceeds are going to the NSSF. I wouldn't be surprised if it goes for over $80K. Heck, it's at $50K now and there're still nearly 5 days to go.

I'm sorry - maybe I view the tools of our hobby as just that.... a tool. To me that is the most useless rifle I've ever seen. It might go for unbelievable money but it's no where worth that. I find it ugly. If that wood was on a Winchester pre-64 or a nice Winchester 94 or similar type of rifle I might get excited but you can never shoot that thing or the value goes straight down.
