Yeah my old job had one for 3+ years and its still running great. New manufacturing must be crappy

Here's what fixes mine every time. Open the lid where the cup goes and look up inside for the needle that pokes the whole in the top of the foil.

Take the tip of a knife or a toothpick and clean out the hole and the slits in the side of the needle. It gets clogged with coffee grounds and won't come loose no matter how much you deacale if.

My cuisinart has been problem free

We had a Keurig in the office I worked in. Pretty slick, but I couldn't get over the amount of waste involved in making a simple beverage.

Try the Aeropress with an espresso (fine grind). It's like $20 and will make the best damn cup of coffee you've ever had.

Now back to bitching about coffee makers.

Cofi, that sucks. If you're on your third coffeemaker, I'd see if the missus would be interested in a different appliance. Unless you plan on buying water to out into it, in addition to the fancy coffees and etc, it doesn't sound like a new one will work.

You've got more patience than I do. I have a basic drip coffee maker, a backup, and two stovetop percolators- as well as a small french press.
