What got Dems elected in CO this year ...women's health and that is pretty much cut and dry. The next round of elections will be about the 2A and firearms, and the state legislators that have a clue do not want to be on the wrong side of that fight.

It's always harder to get protests put together for conservative issues. You either do it during the week when we are working or on a weekend when there is likely no politicians working. Last one I had prior plans and this one I have to work since the other team lead in my section is going on vacation for 2 weeks.
The problem is this: the Dems controlled redistricting in 2000 and 2010 and they basically own the state. Lamb and Romer stacked the court system with their appointments over 24 years so the Dems can get whatever they want and the gerrymandering of legislative districts is horrendous. My State Senate district in Conifer shares the same Senator as people in Denver...WTF!
Saw a report from someone that attended the rally in Annapolis, MD yesterday. They had a couple thousand show up and something like 400 sign up to "testify" on MD's proposed legislation. The media stuck around for the Governor's speech and some anti-gun testimony then left. The chairman of the committee then gave equal time to the two sides even though pro-2A folks outnumbered gun controllers by 4 to 1. The end result was keeping the committee busy until after 9pm and pissing off the chairman, who really didn't care what the pro-2A side had to say. By the end, he told them to just state their name and where they were from for the record.
I predict they're going to ram this through in MD and hope enough people forget about it in the next two years. CO might have a chance.
Was that the guy they caught playing solitaire during testimony?
As a matter of fact, I DID attend the Saturday rally on the 19th despite a nasty cough and cold. I attended and then I came home, took my meds and collapsed for the rest of the weekend and holiday. It's not a matter of "wasting" PTO, it's a matter of having things I have to do at work on a workday. The media were there and reported on the rally even if they did deliberately undercount us. I just don't think they'll need to undercount you tomorrow since most gun owners aren't Obama voters getting their Obama phones and Obama checks.
I have to work that day. Tried to get off, but they don't grant leave on short notice where I work, nor are they very flexible with the schedule. I'll be thinking of you guys when I'm sitting in my capsule up near Sidney.
