They just must expect they'll never meet anyone who's ever been in, or they're just that dumb. There needs to be punishment for these people who think they can "play army". Stolen Valor act only goes so far, this is getting ridiculous.

I got over calling people out as posers a few years back. At some point it just became more unnecessary drama. I just file them away as lying pieces of shit and move on.
I've been told multiple times at parties that people just don't care, but as far as I'm concerned, I will call out anyone who I know is full of shit, I've lost too many friends overseas to let these people convince others that they put themselves out there when in actual fact they just want to pretend so people think better of them.
Thank you, I know it sounds like we're being extreme or in a bad mood but these people need to realize that the people they're pretending to be actually put themselves in the shit everyday, not to look good to their friends but because they're fighting for what they believe in. People who choose to steal that credit deserve to have their teeth kicked in.
The uniform is not a "costume", I never have understood how low a persons integrity would have to be to "bank" on a real soldiers merits. I never had the ability to serve but hold those who have with the utmost respect. I will gladly buy a round for the pleasure of observing.

I didn't serve in the armed forces. I hate "stolen valor" people. We had a big time liar on another forum and I helped expose that bastard and his lies on NUMEROUS other forums, this guy wouldn't stop spreading his BS. These people have no honor and they need the bright light of truth shown on them.
I am right with Roberth on this one. I did not have the honor of serving, I was too engrossed in "me" at the time to think of something greater than myself.
When I matured enough to realize it was the right thing to do I had kids and a mortgage.
But as the son of a WWII combat vet(10th Mtn) I have the utmost respect for any veteran, regardless of branch. I wear the 10th Mountain flash on my forearm as an homage to them, but have never claimed it as "mine".
Any person who attempts to further themselves through false honor is one small step above whale shit in the Marianas trench.
If you guys find him and need somebody to hold your jackets while you have your "reunion" I'm in.
Thanks to those that served!
