Maybe I'm wrong though
I have nothing nice to say about her
Ft. LW was coed when I went through, no stress cards...
I just got a message from a friend saying she's changed her profile up...

Now it's saying she has been the victim of bullying or whatever. I'm skeptical as I've seen lots of backpedaling before... Not convinced she actually made it, but also not convinced she didn't... I don't know what to think, but if she is in fact not the one to have made the post that is pretty messed up. And if she did, shame on her for trying to make it look like she didn't.
Really? A 9 page thread about a girl's facebook idiocy.....
I was just going to say, glad I don't have a Facebook so I don't have to care.
Then I was going to say, maybe you should change your settings to 20 response per page.
Then I was going to close this window and go read something else.
Then I was going to write about all this in my diary before bed.
If only I could publish all my thoughts....
Eh, my family and friends now not to believe anything on Facebook or Twitter claiming to be from me because I don't do either.
My first thought after reading the initial post was that this looked fake.
If you want to swim in the Web 2.0 cesspool, you're going to catch something you really don't want.
This stuff is a fad that cultivates narcissism and will be co-opted by marketers, cheats, and the downright criminal...including big government. Live your life and keep most of it to yourself. The world really doesn't care about your every detail.
Pretty simple to me. If it's real and that's how she feels, it's her opinion and she's not alone. Fair enough because I have a pretty low opinion of people who feel that way. If it's fake? Well, that's what she gets for having a FB account. Throw your life out there for everyone to see and someone's bound to throw stuff back.
Surely she knows a couple of really big guys that could "convince" this stalker to find another target. Hell...find a couple of military guys to persuade him.
I read an article last week that addressed this issue- not just narcissism, but also they did a study on FB, YouTube and Yahoo to name a few, and found that comments were extremely hostile, vitriolic, and insidious due to the anonymity of the internet, and that thanks to online life people have become more brazen, hostile, and abrasive not just online, but also in real life. The author even made the connection (considering the timing) that this was possibly contributory to Trayvon Martin's demise (meaning that he thought he was a tough guy so he attacked the man following him). I see things getting worse before they get better. What happened to respect?
If it is fake, then I apologize for acting on my first reaction. Some of you guys may not like face space but I use it to stay in contact with friends, old army buddies, and family. Most people would call it a generation gap. Also a lot of you guys post the exact same stuff here in GD that I see on Facebook all the time.
