My first match in Colorado since moving here. My AK had lots of fun!
If y'all shot with the cool kids on squad 3 today, I've got about 800 glamour shots for you guys to peruse over. If you didn't shoot well then at least now you can say you looked good doing it.
If anyone wants a specific photo in the original resolution for whatever reason, shoot me a PM and I can get it to you.

Thanks as always to Hoser and Justin for keeping this match running, and making the stages challenging enough to kick my ass.

Good times again! Thanks to Hoser and Justin for the fun match.
Kenny, thank you and your Dad for a whole bunch of cool photos!

Probably my worst run of the day, but it's the one that got recorded. Pretty sure the sun was in my eyes, and I had a thorn in my boot, and was trying out a new powder.....

Thanks Hoser and everyone who helps put this match on. Nice to see some old faces and I had a great time. Well until the third stage anyways. [Mad]
We had an absolutely awesome set up crew today. Huge thanks to Katnip, Tim G, Dave H and everyone else that skipped that extra 30 minutes of sleep and came out to support the match. Without people helping out, matches cant continue.
Notably, today a Limited division shooter, Robert C cleaned the standards stage. It has been a long time since anyone has done that. Congrats, well done.
PLEASE.... IMPORTANT......
Do not handle rifles or bag/unbag rifle when people are downrange in any way shape or form. I even spoke about this exact thing at the shooters meeting.
We will continue with "Hit Factor" based scoring for the rest of the year as it heavily emphasizes hits over speed compared to "Time Plus" scoring.
See you on 22 July.

Had a blast. Thanks Guys.
This will be my first time shooting this - is Wolf Classic steel case ammo good to shoot at this event/range?
Great match Hoser thanks to you and your crew for hosting it..
Match was lovely & challenging. Indeed a thank you to each & all.
Yesterday was a first. Saw someone utilize duct tape on their rifle.
Here is the rifle in question blasting away at some 300 yard targets. 17 inch wide diamonds.
Despite the ghetto tape, he was still civilized enough to use a Thunderbeast suppressor.

Well another AK vs AR Match is in the books and once again the commie guns got stomped on. https://practiscore.com/results/new/66746
However, going to a match and using a 75 round drum and slinging brass into the next area code is always fun as is shooting an AK in 223.

We had an awesome set up and tear down crew. Huge thanks to those that come out to make it happen.
I have already had a few people email me prop design ideas, PLEASE keep them coming.
As I mentioned today, this was the 19th year of this match. Without Justin and Charlene, this match would not happen. Please tell them thank you for all they do.
I am looking forward to season 20. I am trying to come up with a way to add a 4th stage and a 4th squad so everyone can shoot. See you all in March 2019.
Stew dominated the Lady/Senior division!
Go to see Tom P is still getting out. I miss him. Nicest guy around.
Yesterday's match was lovely as always & the mild weather was a treat. Yes indeed thank you Charlene & Justin for everything, it's a bit of joy to come down & participate. Also a thanks to the folks who helped break down yesterday whilst i got to play & well... Hoser, thank you too because THAT was awesome. [mlp]
Looking forward to the next!
Great final match of the year. Great to see old friends and new shooters!
Special thanks to Charlene and Justin and Hoser for years of good (and occasionally dirty) fun.
Great match as always. Thanks for taking the time to put these on...
Good times
600 yd line stage this season Hoseman?
Copy that. A legitimate gripe for sure.
You need more:

I'm sorry I only make your problems worse and provide little assistance while just running my yap at everyone the whole time....but I did get signed up!
Is a GripPod considered a bipod as far as “Tactical” division is concerned?
Fun stuff hoseman, fun stuff....even with that stupid vtac wall [emoji8]
The weather was perfect, the stages were fantastic & I had a marvelous time today.
Thank you, to everyone who puts in the extra time & effort to make this event happen. It's a bit of joy to participate & I'm looking forward to the next.
Good seein everyone today, lookin forward to next month. Thanks for a great match Hoser.
Your match staff has been scratching our heads trying to come up with a way to accommodate more shooters. Right now we are limited to 3 berms.
The best fix we can come up with is splitting the match up into a 9:00 start and a 12:00 start. 24 shooter cap, squads of 8.
The morning shooters don't have to worry about teardown, shoot and scoot.
The noon shooters don't have to screw with setting up.
However, the problem with the plan is people willing to help run timers and nooks. If people are not willing to assist with those tasks, we remain stuck where we are.
Let me know your thoughts.
I think this would be good, especially if we can get enough people to help with setup, teardown, and admin stuff.
Yesterday's match ran really smoothly, and a lot of that was down to how many people we had willing to run a nook or a timer. It's really difficult to overstate what a huge help that is, and Hoser and I are really grateful for that help.
Is this match similar to what use to be hosted at CRC last year? Looking for something like that where I can also run my suppressor. I'm really disappointed with how that situation was handled so I don't really want to go back.
More precision based, know your zero and appropriate hold-over/hold-under from 25 to 300+ yards!
While I borrowed (ok pirated) a lot of Hoser's match ideas for CRC's Action Rifle, we were limited to pistol berms and one rifle length berm. The use of pistol berms dictated a different stage design and many were run-n-gun style. Hoser's match (see post 1 in this thread) typically use Pueblo's rifle berms with steel targets and shooting prone, kneeling, squatting from various locations.

Fun match yesterday. Lots of people came out to play. Thanks to everyone that picked up my slack while Uncle Sam had me in a foreign land.
So far we have had nothing but positive feedback on splitting the match into two. So for the next few months we will run two matches, a 9:00 start and a noon start. 24 shooters per match which will allow us an additional 12 people to shoot this match and get people off the wait list. And no, you can not shoot both matches. If you sign up for both, one of the two entries will be deleted.
Lastly, we had 6 people not show up for yesterdays match. That means 6 people on the wait list couldn't shoot. Please be respectful to your fellow shooters.

Great showing yesterday. With the new match format we were able to accommodate an additional 12 shooters and with the smaller squads things seemed to move much faster. Help with set up and tear down was perfect. Thank you for making it happen.

Took some video if folks want to see the shooting positions. 200 and 300 yd stages only. Fat old guy doesn't run between them either...but still gets winded.

I don't think they're advantageous though....not in this match.
