She isn't dry firing that rimfire handgun, is she?
Took my wife and daughters out to shoot yesterday. Spent some time on the AR, AR 15-22, and the shotgun. My girls are better shots than me....
I kicked ass at the Pueblo uspsa match
Took the wife to the indoor range for the first time. She had a blast. (no pun intended)
The range being built.
Yep. Only waited about 10 min. Been waiting for something close since moving here.
I shot the TriggerTime match up in Weldona. It is a really fun match and challenging as hell!
Shot some 45-70 test loads. The good load was 49 grains of H4895 405 grain lead RNFP starline brass and CCI LR primers. 1in group, going average 1670 out of a 18" marlin guide gun. Funny thing was I had two bad primers out of 30 shots.
Yesterday I took my savage 308 and 30-06 out to do some load tests. Turns out the 308 likes the FGMM, and M118LR clone loads the best.
And with the '06, tested some Hornady 150SST bullets out to 500 yds. Really liked that load using h4895. Shoots 3/4 MOA from a stock model 111.
Got some data on a new load for the MWS. Apparently, it needs to be fed a tangent style bullet.
Sighted in both Tikkas, the .300 WSM and the .308. Found that the targets sure are a lot smaller with the 2-7x scope than through the 4-16x. Both shot .5 MOA, but that's to be expected. I do like Tikka.
This was from saturday. The wife shooting her SBR for the first time!

Spent some quality time at the Olympic Training Center last night with a friend.
It had been a few weeks since I spent any time there.
With the World Championship going on right now in Spain I figured we would have the range to ourselves. But there was a few resident athletes that didnt make the World Team there training. Always good to spend a little time talking to them. Getting to that level and staying there is pretty cool for sure.
In the end I put 59 of 60 shots inside of the 10 ring (which is 1cm) at 50 meters. Pretty happy all in all. Tried to blame everything but myself for the 9.8, but is/was me being lazy/stupid.
Steel Challenge match tonight, Bullseye Friday night and Pueblo IPSC Sunday.
Caught a match in Pueblo yesterday. Got to hang out with a bunch of friends and raise a lot of money for Horses for Heros.
Took out my brothers and my 16 year old nephew out on Saturday. Set up 500, 750 and 1,000 yard targets. My nephew got a first round hit at 1,000. Very proud. Everyone one did exceptionally well for never shooting that distance, much less with my rifle. Good day for sure!
Shot with my dad today. His BAR in .30-06 is a fantastic shooter! 10 shots through the same hole at 100yds!
Browning hi-power is fun to shoot. Dad's eyes are having a hard time with pistol sights. :(
couple of revolvers were fun to shoot. I need a revolver.
dad had a blast shooting my SBR for the first time. [Awesom]
Had 3 teammates from church at the pistol range for some practical drills and their re-qual for the first half of 2015. They all left with some new self-awareness and drills to practice dry at home. I went 8 for 10 in the 4x6" COM box at 25yards with the other 2 within 2 inches of it. Not too shabby with trijicon high viz sights on a g19. It's built for speed. Not "target" shooting...

Yesterday, did some OCW work on a .260 that I've had problems getting figured out.
OCW?
objective charge weight.
it's one of the tests i use for finding out the most accurate ammo i can produce for a gun.
Yep, concrete pad too, aside from 28 failure to fire, it was fun.....now I have to figure out what the hell happened with my ammo

Headspace issues, maybe.
I really need to get out to a range and do some testing. The past few times to the range have always had a new shooter with us so most of my time gets dedicated to making sure there's no accidents. Love getting people involved but sometimes you just need your own time at the range.
